“Great performance is never luck. It takes a lot of focus, heart and hard work”
The quote above is one VCST Alba Iulia employees know well. It’s also reflected in the plant results! On both individual and team level, the involvement and professionalism of the entire team is seen.
Team work makes the dream work, but individual performances deserve to be highlighted as well. To publicly recognize the outstanding performance of individuals in the team, the “Employee of the Year” award ceremony took place on December 17, 2021.
The awards ceremony took place in the plant restaurant, where all nominees, the Employee Representatives and the Management Team were invited.
How can you win?
To be nominated, candidates were selected based on their performance in the first 3 quarters of the year, their collaboration, their communication, their attitude and their loyalty to the company.
Nominees could be awarded in three different categories:
- Direct-productive staff
- Non-direct-productive staff
- Administrative personnel
Eventually, 29 people were nominated for an award. 16 for the direct-productive category, 6 for the non-direct-productive category and 6 for the administrative staff category. All having a shot to win one of these golden awards!
And the winners are…
The selection of the winners was made on an online platform, where people could vote for their colleagues in their categories. Based on the votes, the winners of the “Employee of the Year 2021” trophy are:

Administrative staff category – Ion Galata
